Canterbury TalesText Box: Along The Moral High Ground: The Economics of Ethical Investing. The fall portion concluded as Noel Lenski (Professor of Classics) spoke on The Roman World of Jesus: Aspects of Roman Judaea.
Due to the success and outstanding attendance, it was decided to present 3 lectures in the spring. Richard Collins (Professor of Law) presented a talk on How Should Courts Decide Claims of Burdens on Religious Freedom?, whereas Douglas Burger (Professor of English) presented a talk on St. Aidan and Lindisfarne. The spring portion was also pleased to add and present Canterbury Peer Minister and CU Text Box: Undergraduate, Ryan Freedle who gave a presentation entitled, New Thoughts on Newcomers: A Fresh Perspective on the Immigration Debate.
As the series continued, the audience grew in size and diversity. The series not only attracted parishioners from St. Aidan’s and its Episcopal affiliates, but also University of Colorado students, staff and faculty members, as well as members of the Boulder community. Due to the great success of last year’s Lecture Series, many now anticipate the commencement of the 2007-2008 Lecture Series.
